The Stowaway has been around for a long time, but it needs a bit of a reintroduction.  The shirt stuffs into a little pouch with a drawstring and can be kept in a pocket, in the glove compartment or in a pouch in your rucksack. If conditions become difficult the Stowaway comes into its own: it is windproof and water repellent. Worn under a leaking jacket it will keep you dry. Worn as an outer it will perform faithfully and regularly when you may need it. The textile used is a light ripstop nylon with a waterproof/breathable coating – we claim it to be “water-repellent” only because we don’t seal the seams.
